Become a Carer Representative

You can join our Carer Representative programme and act as a voice for unpaid Carers

The Carer Participation Programme works with Carers to bring them, and providers of local services together. There are opportunities to contribute to the work of Wandsworth CCG, Adult Social Services, and the Mental Health Trust.

Carer Involvement can bring enormous benefits for staff, services and individuals. Carer representatives are recruited to represent Carers in general, or from a specific group, for example, mental health Carers.  They play an active advisory role in the development of local services.

The expertise that Carers bring can come from their experience through their caring role, from employment and other life experiences they have. This insight can be invaluable to service providers in finding out exactly what is needed in the community.

If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Carer representative, you can talk to our Carer Participation manager Louise about this and other participation opportunities. Please email: Louise@wandsworthcarers.org.uk
