I started with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre as Chief exec in January 2000. I oversee everyday running of the Centre. I have been with the Centre for over 20 years and continue to enjoy my work supporting unpaid Carers in our community and working towards making caring more visible.
I have been with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since November 2013. Along with our CEO I oversee the everyday running of the organisation. My background is in mental health. I previously worked managing supported housing for both mental health and learning disability.
I have been with Wandsworth Carers Centre since May 2019. My roles are to oversee the running of the information & advice service and the End of life project. I’m also responsible for volunteers and our Carer participation programme. My background is with Citizens advice and Carer services.
I joined Wandsworth Carers’ Centre in March 2020 and am standing in for Shenade Windebank whilst she is on maternity leave. I have previously worked for community charities in London and Australia and have a background in mental health.
My name is Sheryl Castle and I have been working at Wandsworth Carers’ Centre as the Office Manager since 2007. I oversee and provide general office support which includes reception, information and administration systems, and IT systems and support.
Hello, my name is Badar and I have been working at Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since September 2020. I am the Administration & Reception Worker based at our Wandsworth office. I also assist with supporting our fantastic team of Volunteers. I am covering for Nabihah whilst she is on maternity leave.
Georgia offers Carers person centered support tailored to the individual needs of Carers and the person they care for.
Each month Georgia also delivers’ The Carer’s Surgery, outreach project, with 3 Local GP Surgeries. Enabling us to connect with more Carer’s and offer them support.
As the Transition Support & Development Officer for WCC, I support Carers who are considering alternative accommodation for the person they care for. Offering practical and emotional support, I help Carers to identify pathways to suitable accommodation, ensuring individual needs are met throughout the process.
My name is Anita Goveas, and I am a part-time Learning Disabilities Lead Carer’s Development Worker.
I provide one-to-one support by signposting to other agencies, advocacy with other services such as social services and GPs, and listening support.
Sarah Hymas is currently working with Carers of people with autism/Asperger’s. She facilitates regular peer support groups and training, offers one to one support, information and advice, signposting and referrals, and grant applications.
My role is to help carers to maximise their income by carrying out benefits checks, assisting with benefits application forms, and assisting with appealing benefits decisions. I also give advice and information about services available to carers.
I started working for Wandsworth Carers’ Centre in July 2002. Currently, I am part of the advice & information team, supporting Carers with practical issues such as benefit queries and applications, housing and appeals & tribunals.
I have been with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since January 2014. I support Carers who are affected by someone else’s drug or alcohol use. Offering practical and emotional support. My background is in substance misuse, mental health, and learning disabilities.
