Chief Executive

I started with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre as Chief exec in January 2000. I oversee everyday running of the Centre. I have been with the Centre for over 20 years and continue to enjoy my work supporting unpaid Carers in our community and working towards making caring more visible.

Deputy CEO & Mental Health Lead

I have been with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since November 2013. Along with our CEO I oversee the everyday running of the organisation. My background is in mental health. I previously worked managing supported housing for both mental health and learning disability.

Louise

Senior manager

I have been with Wandsworth Carers Centre since May 2019. My roles are to oversee the running of the information & advice service and the End of life project. I’m also responsible for volunteers and our Carer participation programme. My background is with Citizens advice and Carer services.

Senior Manager & Mental Health Lead

Shenade joined Wandsworth Carers’ Centre in 2015.

Sheryl

Office manager

My name is Sheryl Castle and I have been working at Wandsworth Carers’ Centre as the Office Manager since 2007. I oversee and provide general office support which includes reception, information and administration systems, and IT systems and support.

Administrator & volunteer support worker

Hello, my name is Badar and I have been working at Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since September 2020. I am the Administration & Reception Worker based at our Wandsworth office. I also assist with supporting our fantastic team of Volunteers. I am covering for Nabihah whilst she is on maternity leave.

Support & Information Worker

Hello, my name is Syari and I have been with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since August 2021. I am the Support & Information Worker and I deal with registrations and allocating Carers to our different services, depending on their needs.

Advice & support worker

I started working for Wandsworth Carers’ Centre in July 2002. Currently, I am part of the advice & information team, supporting Carers with practical issues such as benefit queries and applications, housing and appeals & tribunals.

Martina

Advice & Learning disabilities lead support worker

Hi, my name is Martina, and I joined the Wandsworth Carers’ Centre in March 2024. I work within the Advice service and am the Learning Disabilities Support Worker. I provide people both emotional and practical support. My experience is in working with people with additional needs and residential childcare organisations.

Advice & Information and Autism Support Worker

I have been in my role at Wandsworth Carers Centre since January 2022. I work with carers of someone on the Autistic spectrum as well and as a benefit advisor. I work with carers 1:1 offering advice and advocacy as well as facilitating peer support groups.

Tom

Hospital Discharge Team

I have been with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since January 2014. I work within our Hospital Discharge Team in St. Georges Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital. I work with hospital staff to offer support to Carers who have someone in hospital due to return home.

Social Media Coordinator

I have recently joined Wandsworth Carers’ Centre and am responsible for all social media platforms and content.

Charlotte

Hospital Discharge Team

I have been with Wandsworth Carers’ Centre since December 2023 and work alongside Tom in our Hospital Discharge Team, supporting Carers who will be looking after someone when discharged from hospital.

Young Carers in Schools Link Worker

Hi, my name is Delores and I am a recent Psychology graduate, with a background in support work. I have recently joined Wandsworth Carers’ Centre as the Young Carers in Schools Link worker. My role is involves raising awareness of Young Carers in local schools by delivering training to staff and supporting the implementation of the Young Carers in Schools Challenge.

Carers Support and Development Worker - Dementia

I joined Wandsworth Carers Centre in March 2023. In this role, I work with carers of someone with Dementia, providing 1:1 support, facilitating support groups and running our bimonthly Dementia Cafes. My background is in working with carers specifically on wellbeing support and social policy.

Ava

Carers Support and Development Worker

I joined Wandsworth Carers’ Centre in July 2023. I have a degree in Politics and Sociology and have experience supporting women and children with special educational needs. My new role as a Carer Support and Development Worker will focus on providing 1.1 support for all types of Carers and will work towards tailoring and recommending services to suit their specific needs.
